OPI Stay The Night

So, let me just say that I am now obsessed with textured nail polish. I love it! This one especially has won my heart over.

Stay The Night is one of the polishes in OPI's liquid sand line and part of the Mariah Carey collection. It's a black based matte polish with red glitter. The glitter does tend to look a little more fuchsia/pink to me, personally. The glitter is so sparkly through the matte polish, it really looks like it's glowing. And since the black dries matte, it is not harsh against your skin and much more flattering.

The texture is not rough at all. It's smooth but gritty. It feels almost the same as an emery board or a fine nail file. It would not catch your hair or clothes.

It dries fast, but the longer you wait, the better the matte looks. Like, it was dry to the touch after about 15 minutes, but still had a bit of a shiny look to it. Once I woke up in the morning, it was completely matte. Also, wear time is really good even without top coat. I am on day three with no chips and minimal tip wear.

Pics are three coats. It probably would have been ok with two coats, but I did two just for optimum depth and coverage :) Sorry there are so many pics. I love this polish so much that I found something to love about all of them...and I actually removed about five others!

Have you tried any of the new textured polishes, yet. It seems to be the next big trend of 2013!!

    1. You should try one. The worst that could happen is you don't like it...if you don't, just swap it for something you know you like. lol.
