Valentine's Heart Vine

For today's Valentine's mani, I tried to recreate the Heart Vine manicure that I saw on Mad Manis last year. The hearts looked really good until I made the stems from the vine. That made the tops look much less defined. I think they would have looked better if I would have outlined them, but I was afraid if I tried to, I would mess the entire design up. lol. It has happened before.

I think I am going to get some new smaller brushes for small work like this. I have a set of nail art brushes, but I believe there are smaller ones out there.

What kind of brushes do you use for nail art? I know many of the better nail art creators use acrylic paints for their art, but I haven't divulged into it yet.

    I think this looks so awesome! And I am the same way as you - I always want to outline things and end up messing it up!

      Thanks, Heather! I am going to try to get some smaller brushes and see if that helps with the outlining. Nail art pens work well for it, but I only buy them if I see them on clearance or something because I think they are over priced! lol.

    I see what you mean about the tops not being completely defined, but I think this looks great! It's such a cute design and I love the combination of colors you used. It's perfect for Valentine's Day =)
